The Bronx

A thug slashed a 63-year-old man when he tried to break up an argument at a Claremont deli, authorities said. The suspect was arguing with another man at the Barcelona Gourmet Deli on East 170th Street when the victim intervened and tried to separate them around 4 a.m. Feb. 7, cops said.One of the combatants pulled out a blade and slashed the peacemaker across the face, police said. The victim was treated at Bronx Lebanon Hospital and released.

A teen was stabbed in Allerton early Wednesday, cops said. The 19-year-old was knifed in the torso after getting into a fight with the assailant on the corner of White Plains Road and Burke Avenue around 12:45 a.m., police said. The victim was rushed to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition.

Queens

Cops are trying to identify a cat burglar they say has hit at least five Rego Park apartments in the past two months. The suspect first struck Dec. 20 when he entered a first-floor apartment near 63rd Drive and Fitchett Street through a back window, then grabbed jewelry, electronics and $60 in cash before walking out through the door, cops said. Police say the same man broke into four more neighborhood apartments, using a fire escape to gain entry in each instance. Three of the burglaries took place on Saunders Street, where cops say the man stole jewelry from one apartment Dec. 31; cash and a Wii U game system Jan. 16 from another; and computer and camera equipment and more jewelry from a third Feb. 8. In a Jan. 28 burglary on Queens Boulevard, the victim reported losing an empty pocketbook, cops said. Police described the suspect as about 45 years old, 6-feet tall and 170 pounds. Video footage shows him wearing a waist-length green coat with epaulettes and a green knit cap.

Brooklyn

A straphanger groped a woman in a Brownsville subway station, cops said. The 33-year-old victim was standing on the mezzanine of the Broadway-East New York Avenue station when the suspect came up and grabbed her butt and midsection around 4:45 p.m. on Feb. 8. 

A man tried to lure a 13-year-old girl into his car in Williamsburg, police sources said. The girl was walking home from an after-school program when the driver pulled up next to her near the corner of Walton Street and Harrison Avenue and motioned her toward his car around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday. The frightened girl ran back to the school, where she called her mother. School-safety officers notified police.

Staten Island

Two thieves broke into parked cars at a Great Kills gym and stole credit cards, police said. The suspects, a man and a woman, got into one car outside the LA Fitness on Richmond Avenue at about 1 p.m. on Feb. 5 and then returned about two hours later and broke into another. Later that day, the female suspect used the cards at a nearby Target. The first victim’s card was declined. The second victim’s card was used to purchase an Apple iPad. The woman also used a stolen card to try and make a purchase at a Costco on Richmond Avenue, but it was declined. The vehicle the burglars were driving was described as a dark gray Toyota SUV.

A man was arrested after investigators found child pornography on his computer, police sources said. Michael Margolis, 69, was busted Tuesday allegedly for uploading files containing the kiddie porn to his personal e-mail account. He was charged with promoting sexual performance of a child and possession of a sexual performance of a child.
