Barber shop was a front for drug gang peddling millions

When a Williamsburg barber shop offered blunts and bowls, it wasn’t talking about haircuts.

L&L Barber Shop on South 4th Street near Keap Street was a front for a drug gang that peddled $1 million in cocaine and heroin a year — including near two elementary schools and a day care, authorities said Thursday.

Twenty-two thugs were indicted in a sweep that involved two drug-trafficking crews — one of which kept a portion of their stash in the barbershop’s office.

Authorities allege that four of the “Southside Bullies” crew — Armando Baez, Radames Lopez, Juan Perez and Christopher Rodriguez — prepared and stored the drugs in other “safehouses,’’ too.

Their crew of 18 made at least 15 sales within 1,000 feet of nearby schools such as PS 120 on Beaver Street, PS 287 on Navy Street and the Bright Horizons Day Care Center on Kent Avenue, authorities said.

The drugs also were distributed on other streets of Brooklyn, Manhattan and Suffolk County on Long Island by those named in the 157-count indictment, officials said.

“Drug dealers peddle poison that kills our neighbors, degrades our communities and frequently leads to violence,” Brooklyn DA Ken Thompson said in a statement.

A second indictment unsealed Thursday charged Juan Pedraza, Juan Pedraza Jr. and two others with selling cocaine, heroin and marijuana out of their home at 417 Lorimer St., prompting a series of neighbor complaints that eventually led to their investigation and arrest.

The L&L Barber Shop had only two Yelp reviews, one of which gave five stars and read “Great shave…no blood.”

“The alleged sales near school grounds are plaguing our children and this county,” Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Bruce Balter said as he arraigned the 18 members of the Bullies, some of whom face up to 20 years in prison on charges of conspiracy, sale and possession of controlled substances.

During the mass arraignment, one of the perps exploded after being shushed by a court officer.

“I’ll talk if I f—king want to,” the unidentified thug sneered.

Balter shot back, “One more word and I will hold you in contempt of the court. This is the Supreme Court of the State of New York, not a lounge.”
