Tiger Woods tries to silence skeptics with 2 words, 1 video

Tiger Woods can sit up, stand and even a swing golf club.

The former world No. 1 posted a video Wednesday on Twitter to refute reports he finds it painful merely to sit up straight and “can’t move well” after a microdiscectomy on his back last year.

The tweet simply says “progressing nicely” and the accompanying video shows Woods swinging smoothly into a virtual golf course — just like the one you probably have at home.

The visual evidence — brief as it is — should speak louder than his agent Mark Steinberg’s angry denial of the report by golf writer Robert Lusetich.

“The tweets that appeared this weekend about Tiger’s health are ridiculous and absolutely false,” Steinberg said. “It’s reprehensible that every few months someone makes something up and it’s treated like a real story. Tiger continues to work on his rehabilitation and we will have an accurate update at the appropriate time.”

It is still a mystery as to when Woods will return to an actual golf course. The best-case scenario has him back in time for The Masters in the second week of April.
