Heat talking Chris Bosh out of playing through blood clots

Chris Bosh could be shutting it down again.

The Heat big man, who missed the last 30 games last year after a dangerous blood clot in his calf moved to his lungs, is being told to do the same thing by doctors and members of the organization, according to Yahoo Sports.

Citing league sources, Yahoo reported Bush was scheduled to meet with owner Mickey Arison and president Pat Riley sometime in the next day to make a decision on his status moving forward.

Bosh pulled out of the All-Star Game in Toronto on Feb. 12 because of the potential clotting issue in his calf. He hasn’t played for the Heat since Feb. 9. The 31-year-old, 11-time all-star wanted to return and use blood thinners, but that plan has been met with resistance, according to the report.

He took blood thinners last year while sitting out the end of the season. If Bosh doesn’t return this season, he would be re-evaluated in three-to-six months.
