The Bronx

A thug cut the line at a food truck — and then cut a man who called him on it Sunday in Morris Heights, according to cops. The 24-year-old victim was waiting to buy food at Jerome Avenue and East 174th Street at about 2 a.m. when a man cut in line, sparking an argument. The goon then slashed the victim in the head and fled, police said. The victim was treated at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. The suspect is 25 to 30 years old and between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall with a slim build.

Police are looking for a man in connection with a grand larceny at a Mott Haven mosque last month. The man, who is in his 30s, removed a wallet belonging to a 33-year-old man at 296 E. 149th St. and fled at about 3 p.m. on Jan. 19, authorities said Sunday.

Brooklyn

Cops questioning a man during a routine subway stop recovered an illegal gun in Brownsville, according to police Sunday. Officers stopped Michael Latham, 32, at around 9 p.m. Saturday after seeing him use a Reduced-Fare MetroCard for those with disabilities at a turnstile in the Livonia Avenue L subway station, police said. When cops asked to see his card, he gave them another one before finally producing the MetroCard he had used, which had a different name and photo on it, cops said. When cops tried to bust Latham, he broke free, jumped onto the tracks and tossed a handgun from his waistband, according to police. He injured his right knee in the jump and was taken into custody. The gun was a loaded .32-caliber Smith and Wesson, cops said.

A thug punched a man in the face in Bedford-Stuyvesant after the man refused to give him money, police said Sunday. The thief demanded cash inside 729 Flushing Ave. at about 4 p.m. on Saturday, cops said. After slugging the victim, the thief took his bag and fled in a dark gray Nissan, police said. The suspect was wearing a black hat with blue jeans, a gray coat and white sneakers.

A 19-year-old man was shot in the leg in Brownsville, according to police sources Sunday. The man was shot at about 8 p.m. Friday at 335 Blake Ave. in the Brownsville Houses. The victim is at Brookdale Hospital and is expected to survive.

Manhattan

Offensive writings and drawings about Muslims, Jews and the African community were found inside a Hunter College men’s room, according to a school official. The college’s director of security told cops the writing was found in permanent ink on the seventh floor of 904 Lexington Ave.

A man in his 30s tried to rob a Midtown bank by passing a note demanding cash, but he fled empty-handed, police sources said Sunday. The impatient thief aborted his robbery attempt at the Bank of America at 72nd Street and Second Avenue at around 4:15 p.m. Friday.

A 22-year-old man has been charged with assault after hitting another man in the face during a bar brawl in the East Village. Daniel Vasquez-Henao, of Bergenfield, NJ, hit the victim at about 3 a.m. Saturday at Webster Hall at 125 E. 11th St., causing bleeding and pain, police said Sunday.

Queens

A 19-year-old has been charged with shooting a man in the stomach inside a Richmond Hill club, according to police. Ismail Feddaoui told the victim to meet him outside 1533-33 Hillside Ave., saying, “I want to talk to you about the girl you’re with,” police sources said. The victim refused, but Feddaoui waited for him outside and shot him at about 4 a.m. Saturday, the sources said.

A man was shot in the stomach in a Jamaica home, according to police sources Sunday. Lonique Gumbs, 20, was shot at around 2:30 p.m. Friday at 183-20 Dunlop Ave., the sources said. He’s at Jamaica Hospital and is expected to survive.

Staten Island

Police released this picture of a man they say punched another man in the face and then stole his wallet in Stapleton. The thief struck the 45-year-old victim repeatedly at about 2 a.m. on Dec. 1 behind 197 Gordon St. and then ran off with the victim’s wallet containing approximately $600, cops said.
