‘Color Purple’ star stalked by ex who showed up at theater with knife

The former beau of a Broadway actress starring in “The Color Purple” threatened her on social media — warning, “Somebody’s going to die’’ — then showed up near her Midtown theater with an 8-inch kitchen knife, police sources said Monday.

Christophe Horton was carrying the blade in his coat pocket Saturday afternoon when cops arrested him near the Bernard Jacobs Theatre on West 45th Street, where his ex, Joaquina Kalukango, stars as Nettie in “The Color Purple,” police sources said.

Two days earlier, the actress told Shubert officials that she was concerned about Horton, who had been posting violent threats against her on Facebook, sources said.

Horton allegedly posted such online warnings as, “She’ll feel it soon and you all will regret what you did,” “The main event is coming just be patient,” “Somebody’s going to die,” and “Pay for security,” court records show.

Minutes before he was nabbed, Horton, 28, had screamed at Kalukango as she arrived for work, prompting the terrified star to tell her stage manager, who notified security, sources said.

A security guard with the Shubert Organization then alerted an NYPD sergeant patrolling in the area around 1 p.m., and Horton was soon in handcuffs.

Horton was charged with aggravated harassment, stalking and weapons possession.
