If fairies really did exist, here’s where they’d live — as long as they could conjure up $8.23 million to buy the place.

A house in rural Ashland, Ore., appears to be custom-made for those magical creatures. Sitting on 700 acres of land, surrounded by rivers and mountains, the 8,800-square-foot home is fit for Tinker Bell and Puck — and each could have his or own bedroom!

The whimsical, woodsy home, which Curbed first spotted and aptly dubbed “Dumbledore’s summer home,” went on the market Wednesday.

The two-bedroom home is all softly curved edges, which were designed to reflect the expanse of nature around it. Realistic depictions of coyotes, eagles and salmon appear on artful front doors made from Brazilian wood.

The floor is designed to mimic the rings inside a tree trunk (or running river water), and the main staircase banisters are all carved to come off as curling branches. Tree sculptures wind up from the wall and touch the ceiling. Stone accents abound.

The tree motif even extends to the kitchen counter — though the fridge, thankfully, is a Sub-Zero — with burly trunks supporting the granite island. The windows are custom-designed and in the shape of pine and spruce. Throughout the house, cedar ceilings soar overhead.

Just in case there isn’t enough nature within the walls of this mountain domicile, the master bedroom boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that provide panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

More modestly sized windows around the house are shaped like clouds. And, of course, there is a wood-burning fireplace.

Among the local wildlife, hawks, falcons and golden eagles are very present. Fortunately, though, an abundance of woodpeckers does not rank among the selling points here.

A well-heeled family of nature lovers would feel right at home — if no fairies place a bid.
