Bernie Sanders is leading Hillary Clinton in a national poll for the first time in the Democratic presidential contest.
A Fox News poll released Thursday night gives the Vermont senator the support of 47 percent of Dem voters, compared with 44 percent for Clinton.
Sanders polled at just 37 percent in January with Clinton at 49 percent.
Since last summer, Sanders has closed a 46-point gap between himself and the former secretary of state. Just two months ago, Clinton’s lead was 22 points.
Meanwhile, a poll showed that an independent presidential bid by Mike Bloomberg would take more votes away from Sanders than either Donald Trump or Ted Cruz in hypothetical general-election matchups.
The Quinnipiac University poll showed that Bloomberg’s entry into the race would deadlock Sanders and Trump at 38 percent, and give Sanders a 39-33 percent lead over Cruz.
