Let me be Frank: Live like Ol’ Blue Eyes

Speaking of Cole Porter, the penthouse where he used to live at the Waldorf Astoria — and where Frank and Barbara Sinatra later lived — is no longer on the market as a $150,000 a month luxury rental.

The Waldorf’s new owner, Beijing-based Anbang Insurance, that bought the hotel in 2014 for almost $2 billion, plans on turning it and other top-floor Waldorf Tower suites, into luxury condos.

Until then, there is one Waldorf penthouse that is still on the market — for an astounding $135,000 a month — and it has been on the market for an even more eye-popping 1,448 days, according to StreetEasy.

The 3,200-square-foot spread comes with three bedrooms and 3½ bathrooms. It features a rotunda entry gallery with original trompe l’oeil, a crystal chandelier and French doors leading to a living room — the latter of which looks out to views of the Chrysler Building and East River.

There’s also a chef’s kitchen with a butler’s pantry, a formal dining room, and a maids’ room currently configured as a private gym.

The listing broker is Margaret Bay, of Brown Harris Stevens.
