Two more people slashed in random Manhattan attacks

Two people were slashed overnight in separate incidents across Manhattan, authorities said.

In one of the attacks, a 45-year-old cab driver was dropping off a fare near the cornet of 159th Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Harlem when the man in the back seat pulled out a knife and sliced him from ear to mouth around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

The alleged slasher, identified as Leolyn Rowe, 47, then hopped out of the car and made a run for it, but didn’t get very far.

Police quickly apprehended Rowe and charged him with assault and possession of a weapon.

The driver was taken to Harlem Hospital with a deep gash on his face and received stitches.

Earlier in the night, another man was slashed while walking through the Financial District, cops said.

The 22-year-old man was intoxicated as he was strolling near the corner of Cliff and John streets and got into a fight with a man he crossed paths with around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

The assailant then pulled out a blade and cut the man before leaving him injured on the sidewalk. The attacker is still on the loose.

The victim was rushed to New York Presbyterian-Lower Manhattan Hospital in stable condition, cops said.
