One dead after shooting inside Harlem bar

Two men were shot — one fatally — inside a Harlem bar and lounge early Saturday, authorities said.

The shooting occurred inside the Harlem Nights Bar at Adam Clayton Avenue near Odell Clark Place at around 3:12 a.m., cops said.

A 22-year-old Bronx man, identified as Jarel Mitchell, was shot twice in the back and Synard Frink, 24, was shot once in the right leg during an argument with the gunman, police sources said.

Emergency responders rushed both men to Harlem Hospital where Mitchell was pronounced dead.

Frink is listed in stable condition at the hospital.

The shooter is still at large and no arrests have been made.

Sources said Mitchell had 13 prior arrests on his record for charges including conspiracy, criminal impersonation and menacing. Eight of his arrests are sealed.

Frink has one sealed arrest on his record, sources said.

Harlem Nights Bar recently opened and it’s described on its Web site as a “new cozy bar neighborhood bar” that “features live music in a relaxed lounge atmosphere.”
