Emmy Rossum may famously not use a stylist, but she does consult a very important person for her red-carpet appearances: her fiancé, Sam Esmail.
“He picked out the red Armani Couture gown I wore to the Golden Globes,” said the “Shameless” star, who was sitting front row at the Monse runway show Friday night.
And Esmail, who is the creator and head writer of the critically acclaimed series “Mr. Robot,” also gave the thumbs-up for the black gown Rossum will be wearing to the Writers Guild Awards Saturday evening.
“I usually let him approve of the dress I’m going to wear to his events,” said the actress, who looked elegant (and weather-appropriate) in a black turtleneck and embellished bell skirt. “I like him to shine.”
Fortunately, she added, “he has good taste.”
