A 16-year-old girl was killed in Queens early Wednesday when she was struck by a van whose driver then fled from the scene, police said.
The girl was hit at Francis Lewis Boulevard and Sunrise Highway at about 12:17 a.m. She was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital, cops said.
The dark-colored van was eastbound on Sunrise Highway in Rosedale when it ran into the girl, who was trying to cross the road in a crosswalk.
Her identity has been withheld pending family notification.
The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is still looking for the hit-and-run driver.
