A woman was slammed to the ground and robbed Tuesday as she walked through Chinatown in broad daylight, authorities said.
The unidentified victim was grabbed from behind by a man on Henry Street between Market and Forsyth Streets at about 12:15 p.m., according to police.
After suffering a cut to the back of the head, witnesses said she staggered into a nearby supermarket at 75 E. Broadway.
“She was bleeding,” a store worker said. “She came in and asked for help. All of her things were (stolen).”
The woman was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital, where she was treated for a minor laceration and bruising.
Cops are still investigating.
