Road rager threatens to shoot Manhattan motorist

A driver suffering from road rage allegedly identified himself as a police officer and threatened to shoot another motorist in Manhattan on Monday night, police said.

The suspect, driving a white Nissan Altima, narrowly avoided crashing into the 27-year-old victim after he blew a stop sign just before 10:30 p.m. at the traffic circle at East Houston Street and the FDR Drive.

The two men then met up alongside each other at the next stop light on Houston Street, where the suspect blew a gasket.

After the victim asked what the Nissan driver’s problem was, the suspect responded, “Shut the f—k up. I’m a cop. I will shoot you in the face,” according to police sources.

The driver then appeared to grab the butt of a firearm before both men sped away without incident.

The victim called police a short time later to report the lunatic. No arrests have been made.
