Jets offensive lineman getting a $1 million raise

Jets guard Brian Winters is getting a raise after hitting a playing-time escalator.

Winters’ 2016 salary will increase by about $1 million from $675,000 to an estimated $1.696 million. The official number will be set when the salary cap is finalized for 2016. Winters started 10 games last season at right guard.

The Jets also finalized their coaching staff with a few minor moves: They hired David Diaz-Infante as assistant offensive line coach and Tim Atkins as defensive quality control coach and promoted John Scott Jr. to assistant defensive line coach.

Defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson’s rehabilitation from a broken leg is on schedule. Wilkerson had his cast removed last week.
