Beyoncé is just like us — she hates Coldplay songs too

Beyoncé tells it like it is.

While they looked chummy on the Super Bowl 50 halftime stage, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin reveals in an upcoming Rolling Stone interview that Queen Bey once turned down collaborating with the band on a song called “Hook Up.”

Her response when he played her the song: “I really like you — but this is awful.”

It’s the succinct, semi-kind but insanely frank response most of us want to say after hearing a new Coldplay song.

And it’s not the first time the band has gotten a “No” from a big star.

Drummer Will Champion told NME last month the late David Bowie also declined a Coldplay collab, telling them, “It’s not a very good song, is it?”

Martin did end up finding a semi-decent song Beyoncé could get behind, and thus we have the snoozer “Hymn for the Weekend.”

But Beyoncé’s line still works as a great one-sentence review of the band’s new album “A Head Full of Dreams”: “I really like you — but this is awful.”
