Beloved Brooklyn hot dog joint is going out of business

It’s bun-voyage for a beloved Brooklyn hot dog joint — and no, it’s not the Coney Island Nathan’s.

Bark Hot Dogs, which serves top-shelf franks and burgers in Park Slope, will shutter after seven years on Bergen Street and Flatbush Avenue, said owner Josh Sharkey, 34.

“Like any business, there’s many little things. I think it’s our time. Like any small business, the economics started to get tougher. We’re not able to keep going,” Sharkey said.

The restaurant, which also opened a Highline outpost, serves locally-sourced hot dogs made with high quality pork belly and shoulder and homemade condiments.

On Tuesday, foodies bemoaned the loss of the casual neighborhood mainstay.

“I am sad. It’s really good to have classy comfort food. That’s what I like about it. The neighborhood would lose some of its character when this place goes,” said Fred Van Lenti, 43.

The restaurant will remain open through Super Bowl Sunday, Sharkey said.
