Not everyone is a fan of Dirk Nowitzki’s new hairdo.
The 7-foot Dallas Mavericks forward, who chopped off his sandy locks for a cleaner cut, has been getting some feedback from his teammates about the style — likening it to a certain talk-show personality’s signature look.
“Whole team calls me Ellen DeGeneres with my new hairdo,” Nowitzki lamented on Twitter.
Teammate J.J. Barea confirmed the future Hall of Famer has been hearing it in the locker room.
“We’re killing him. He’s rattled,” the point guard told ESPN.
This isn’t the first time Nowitzki has debuted a dramatic new ‘do. After rocking a boyband-inspired mop on Draft Day in 1999, the 17-season pro has switched up his style throughout the years, most notably in 2008 by buzzing his head with the Olympic rings etched on the side.
