Neighbor records lady’s dogs suffering through blizzard

A Brooklyn resident left her wailing elderly pooches out in the wicked weather Saturday — and caught heat from some neighbors.

Evelyn Tully Costa of Crown Heights recorded the woman’s two elderly dogs on video howling as they were left out in the yard during the blizzard.

“I know there are dog breeds that like to sleep in the snow, that’s not these dogs. They’re short haired, they’re old. They’re limping around,” Costa told The Post, referring to her neighbor’s 16- and 17-year-old dogs, who were snowed into an uninsulated backyard building in the bitter cold on Saturday.

In multiple videos posted to Facebook, Costa recorded the unhappy dogs whimpering and moaning.

Cops eventually arrived and ordered the owner, June Hercules, 62, to clear the snow around the makeshift doghouse and bring them inside.

While shoveling her front walk Sunday, Hercules admitted that “all” of her neighbors complain about her dogs.

She argued that the dogs liked to be outside and were meant for her protection, griping that if she let them inside, “they track the dirt in.”
