Yankees obtain left-handed pitcher, infielder from Dodgers

The Yankees filled out their 40-man roster on Tuesday, acquiring lefty pitcher Tyler Olson and infielder Ronald Terreyes from the Dodgers in return for minor-league infielder Rob Segedin and a player to be named later. The Dodgers had designated both players for assignment within the past week.

Olson, 26, made his major league debut for Seattle in 2015, pitching in 11 games and posting a 5.40 ERA. He pitched in 25 games (six starts) for Triple-A Tacoma, compiling a 4.47 ERA and striking out 53 and walking 17 in 53¹/₃ innings.

Terreyes, 23, made his major league debut for the Dodgers in 2015, playing in eight games. He spent time in three organizations (Dodgers, Toronto and Houston) last season, putting up a .261/.308/.347 slash line.

He is primarily a second baseman and shortstop with some experience at third base and left field.
