A man in Queensland, Australia, shared a touching photo of a kangaroo and joey standing over the body of another kangaroo.
Evan Switzer, who was out walking his dog when he had the sad encounter, sent the photo to his local paper and shared the story on Facebook.
“I noticed the male kangaroo trying to pick up the dead female,” Switzer wrote.
“I sat and watched for about an hour or so,” he continued. “the male kangaroo chased away other roos.. but he was comfortable with me sitting close by.”
