‘No-brainer’: Nets approach Tom Thibodeau

The Nets reportedly have reached out to former NBA Coach of the Year Tom Thibodeau.

Thibodeau, who parted ways with the Bulls following last season, is one of the biggest names available as the Nets look to replace Lionel Hollins. The 57-year-old Thibodeau compiled a 255-139 record and .647 winning percentage in Chicago that the Nets – 10-28 going into Wednesday’s game against the rival Knicks – could only dream of.

Thibodeau’s agent, Leon Rose of Creative Artists Agency, did not return calls from The Post, but a source within the NBA called it “a no-brainer.”

The news was first reported by the Sporting News and Sirius XM.

The hard-driving Thibodeau has a reputation for squeezing every single win and every last drop of sweat out of his players, while driving them nuts and running them into the ground. He was the defensive mastermind on Doc Rivers’ staff for the Celtics’ 2008 title, and was named NBA Coach of the Year three years later with the Bulls.

Could the Nets attract him with no natural first-round picks until 2019 and a talent-poor roster?

Nets point guard Jarrett Jack underwent ACL reconstruction surgery Wednesday morning at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.

A full recovery is expected, and Jack is expected to be ready to participate in full basketball activities in time for next season. The Nets have until the start of free agency this summer to buy him out for $500,000 if they choose.

Jack sustained the injury late in a Jan. 2 win in Boston. He averaged 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and a team-high 7.4 assists per game.
