Florida men dressed as ‘Deadpool’ try, fail to steal ATM

Two Florida men proved that some superheroes are neither “super” nor “heroic.”

They aren’t particularly good at crime, either.

The men in question, both wearing face-covering “Deadpool” hoodies, had a promising start to a night of crime when they successfully smashed the glass front door of a gas station during an attempted ATM theft in Cocoa, Florida, on Jan. 7, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

It was all downhill from there for the men dressed up as Marvel’s “Merc with a Mouth.”

The thieves’ first mistake came when one of them unzipped his hoody and revealed part of his face to security cameras, police said.

But the criminals carried on, grabbing an ATM at the gas station and loading it into a stolen van.

Then came their second big mistake: failing to get the van out of the parking lot, forcing them to abandon the vehicle — and the ATM, police said.

They were later seen being picked up by a white Chevy Tahoe.

The dimwitted Deadpools are still at large.
