This gang member is actually lucky cops arrested him

Ruben Pizzaro

An on-the-lam Bronx killer is lucky the cops found him first, authorities said Tuesday.

“We weren’t the only ones looking for him — other gang members are looking for him, too,” said NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce, referring to the capture of accused murderer Ruben Pizzaro, 23.

Pizzaro was nabbed nearly two months after riddling a foe with bullets in Tremont and then carjacking a van and robbing and shooting its driver on New Year’s Eve in Inwood, cops said.

“This guy will shoot in the middle of the day. He is cold-blooded,” Boyce said.

“He’s been somewhat slippery. This is a very dangerous individual.”

Cops finally tracked him to 1530 Kingsbridge Terrace in the West Bronx.

“We went over there immediately, and he was standing out front,” Boyce said.

Cops chased him inside the building and found four other gang members inside. All five were arrested.

“Again, the city’s a much safer place right now,” Boyce said

Police said they released information about the killer to the news media and on social media and received a tip. The Warrant Squad’s violent felony team apprehended him.
