Lace is the train wreck we love to hate on ‘The Bachelor’

Only two episodes in and “The Bachelor” already has the Nick Viall-esque villain of the season: Lace Morris.

The wine-guzzling brunette, who created quite the scene both before AND after the first rose ceremony last week, was back in full force Monday night as Ben Higgins dished out the first round of date cards.

“I got a little too drunk, a little too emotional. I just want to start over,” Lace laments in her confessional. “I just want to start over. I’m not a crazy girl.”

We disagree. And while the villainess did get to go on the first group date — set at a high school, no less — she didn’t get the quality time with Ben that she so deeply desired.

But with an evening atop a rooftop lounge on the agenda, Lace makes it a point to make the night all about her. In an attempt to double her time with Ben, she purposely crashes several conversations to prove to her man that she isn’t crazy. Her mission, however, gets derailed as Ben opts to gift unicorn enthusiast JoJo Fletcher a rose instead.

Karma, she can be quite the bitch.

Though Lace sits out the next date — sweet-as-sugar Caila Quinn gets the first solo date with Ben, while getting a rose to boot — the ladies of the mansion find another front-runner to hate on: Olivia Caridi.

While there’s no question that she and Ben have chemistry, considering he gave her the first-impression rose last week, the news anchor shows off an ugly side of her personality after walking away with the highest score on the “Love Test” during the second group date.

“I’m not surprised,” she tells Ben competitors. “I feel it.”

And Ben apparently feels it too, as he gives her another rose. But instead of taking it gracefully a la JoJo or Caila, Olivia brags about her future hubby to the cameras.

“I don’t even know what rose ceremonies are,” she sneers. “Olivia Higgins. Let’s just end the show now.”

With another rose ceremony on the horizon, desperate Lace crawls to Olivia for help on how to seek Ben and alienate people. Unfortunately for the brunette stunner, she lets her crazy get the better of her at the worst possible time.

“My insecure Lace came out,” she pouts. “The person I did not want to be came out.”

Lady Luck happens to be on Lace’s side, as Ben is willing to give her (as well as her emotional baggage) another shot in the end.

Will she survive Week 3? Under Olivia’s guidance, perhaps.
