Fans freak out after David Bowie lookalike appears on TV

Heartbroken David Bowie fans couldn’t believe their eyes Monday when a music industry exec with an uncanny resemblance to the glam rock icon appeared on British television, paying tribute to the singer’s legacy.

“This guy on Sky News talking about David Bowie looks a lot like David Bowie,” tweeted Huffington Post UK editor Ned Simons, along with a picture of the “lookalike.”

“Lazarus has risen!” added John Sampson, referencing the video of the song named after the biblical character released by Bowie on Friday, just two days before the legend died after an 18-month battle with cancer.

The man mistaken for the 69-year-old singer was actually Jack Steven, CEO of Kuba Entertainment, who previously worked with Bowie, according to his LinkedIn profile.

As Steven discussed the storied life of one of the industry’s greatest musicians, fans couldn’t help but compare him to Ziggy Stardust — even conjuring up theories about his death.

“Jack Steven sounds like a name made up in a hurry… #RIPDavidBowie,” wrote Twitter user @Unnamedinsider.

“Oh bloody hell. This is how the Elvis theories started,” tweeted British comedian David Baddiel.

User @Michael_Burling added, “This is a job for Mulder and Skully.”
