NYPD keeps New Year’s Eve revelers from pricey parties

New Year’s Eve revelers who shelled out big bucks to see the ball drop at popular Times Square venues were frozen out of the festivities because of NYPD security zones, police sources said.

Dozens of tourists in their best duds — some even sporting tuxedos — were turned away from police “frozen zones” around Times Square while they were desperately trying to get to their party destinations, including B.B. King, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse and Madame Tussauds wax museum, sources said.

Many of the furious partiers were holding tickets to events that cost anywhere from $100 to $300 per person, sources said.

“We had one couple from London who was furious. They couldn’t get to Madame Tussauds because everybody was getting turned away after 7 p.m.,” said one source.

“We didn’t want to hear them complain anymore so we told them to go down to another frozen zone and the cops there would send them back to us,” the source said. “It was a total sh– show.”

A manager at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse on West 41st street admitted tourists usually “get stuck” during the police lockdown.

Reps for B.B. King’s and Madam Tussauds could not be reached for comment.
