Teen dead in shooting between rivals in the Bronx

A 16-year-old boy was killed and another man was shot when two rival groups clashed in Fordham Heights late Thursday, authorities said.

Justin Morris died when someone pulled out a gun and started shooting near the corner of Jerome Avenue and 183rd Street around 11 p.m., cops said.

Morris and his pals were hanging out on the corner before brawling with the rival group.

After the shots rang out, Morris tried to run but was shot several times in the back, cops said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 19-year-old man was also shot in the back and buttocks. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

Police are still working to determine what caused the fight and no arrests have been made.
