Zuckerbergs welcome baby by donating 99% of her Facebook inheritance

It’s a girl!

Her name is Max, proud parents Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan announced via — what else? — Facebook on Tuesday.

The tech mogul and his wife posted in a 2,234-word open letter: “Dear Max, Your mother and I don’t have the words to describe the hope you give us for the future. Your new life is full of promise, and we hope you will be happy and healthy so you can explore it fully.”

And, “You’ve already given us a reason to reflect on the world we hope you live in . . . We want you to grow up in a world better than ours today . . . We will do our part to make this happen, not only because we love you, but also because we have a moral responsibility to all children in the next generation.”

The multibillionaire further revealed, “We will give 99 percent of our Facebook shares — currently about $45 billion — during our lives” to their Chan Zuckerberg Initiative charity.

The Facebook post received likes from the likes of Sheryl Sandberg, Katie Couric and Melinda Gates, who commented, “Welcome to the world, Max! Bill Gates and I can’t wait to meet you.”

Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun posted: “Welcome to an awesome club. Dad life.”
