Matt Barnes blasts Derek Fisher for ‘telling cops’ about fight

Even after their physical altercation, Matt Barnes is still not done throwing haymakers at Derek Fisher, although this time they are of the verbal variety.

Instead of letting the issue simmer down, Barnes brought it to the forefront again Monday by ridiculing Fisher for running to the cops.

“We’re two grown men who should have handled two grown men’s business, but he wanted to run and tell the cops and the NBA,” Barnes told the Los Angeles Times.

As The Post first reported, Barnes and Fisher got into a physical altercation during the first weekend of training camp at the home of Barnes’ estranged wife, Gloria Govan. Barnes grew infuriated with the possible romance between Fisher, his former teammate, and Govan, and immediately went to the residence to confront them.

The NBA is still investigating the episode. While Fisher has remained tight-lipped on the subject — even after missing a practice for personal reasons which the Knicks claimed his plane had equipment issues — Barnes has been vocal.

The Grizzles forward gets his chance to face Fisher and the Knicks on Jan. 16 in Memphis.
