This was a whale of a chase!
An alleged car thief drove a car straight into the ocean, in a failed bid to evade cops chasing him for two hours along the sand dunes in Australia.
Video of the incident shows the unnamed man taking a sharp left into the water after his way is blocked by cops, The West Australian reported.
He then unsuccessfully attempts to climb on top of the off-roading auto as waves wash over him and his ride begins to sink.
After watching him flounder, officers swim out to arrest him.
