Out-of-control Uber plows into mom, young kids waiting at bus stop

Warning: Video is graphic and may be disturbing to some viewers

An Uber car jumped a curb in The Bronx and plowed into a mom and four children as they waited for a school bus Wednesday morning, authorities and witnesses said.

Gianerrys Heredia, 34, her son Miguel, 5, her daughter Camila, 8, and two kids ages 7 and 11 were struck by the 2014 black Toyota Camry at Valentine Avenue and East Kingsbridge Road in Fordham Manor at 7:45 a.m.

Miguel, writhing with a broken leg, looked on as rescuers pulled his mom and sister from beneath the car.

“I held his hand and he said, ‘I want to see my sister, I want to see my sister!’ said a passer-by, Nilda Guerrero, 57. “He was so scared. I said, ‘Look at me! Look at my eyes! You’re going to be OK.’”

The 57-year-old driver, who has held a Taxi and Limousine Commission license since 1998, told cops he lost control before jumping the curb and striking the victims, police said.

Surveillance video shows the sidewalk full of school-aged kids as the car heads for them.

Heredia’s third child, Mianerrys, 10, who was with her family at the time of the crash, was pulled out of harm’s way by a good Samaritan.

“We were going to the bus stop like our normal routine,” Mianerrys told The Post. “[The car] just hit them. We heard the noise.”

Miguel and Camila suffered chest trauma as well as broken legs, sources said. Camila also suffered a broken pelvis and internal bleeding.

The mom, who suffered a head injury, and her injured children were taken to Jacobi Medical Center. Miguel, Camila and Mianerrys all attend Bronx Community Charter School.

The two other children suffered minor injuries, authorities said. The 11-year-old boy was taken to Jacobi with head trauma, while the 7-year-old girl was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital for a minor ear abrasion, officials said.

The driver remained at the scene and was questioned by cops, but no criminality was suspected. He has worked for Uber since April, a TLC spokesman said.

The driver was not working on the Uber platform when the crash occurred, a spokesman said, but has been suspended by the company pending an investigation.
