Patriots prez gloats over winless Ravens: John Harbaugh a ‘sweetheart’

Winning with dignity may be too much to ask of the Patriots.

Despite their dominant 3-0 start, team president Jonathan Kraft felt the need to take a dig at the Ravens, the team that reportedly tipped off the Colts about underinflated footballs prior to last year’s AFC Championship Game.

During his pregame interview on Sunday on 98.5 The Sports Hub, Kraft was asked about a number of winless teams who may have been impacted by karma for their role in blowing the Deflategate whistle. Kraft singled one team out.

“It’s too bad about Baltimore, isn’t it? It’s really too bad,” he said, referring to the now 0-3 Ravens.

When the host suggested it was karma, the son of owner Robert Kraft said: “Oh, that has nothing to do with it. The Ravens are sweethearts. [Ravens coach] John Harbaugh, he’s a sweetheart.”

Deflategate isn’t the only issue between the two teams. Harbaugh complained about the Patriots’ “trick” plays — with an extra eligible lineman — following a AFC divisional playoff loss, prompting Tom Brady to suggest the Ravens should study the NFL rule book.
