10 more frat brothers charged in ritual hazing death

Ten more fraternity brothers have been charged in connection with the 2013 hazing death of a Baruch College freshman, authorities in Pennsylvania announced Monday.

The new defendants are among 37 young men — including the younger brother of Queens Rep. Grace Meng — who face prosecution over the slaying of Chun “Michael” Deng, 19.

Officials have said Deng suffered fatal brain injuries during a violent initiation ritual known as the “glass ceiling” outside a rented house in the Poconos.

Deng was allegedly singled out for extra-harsh treatment when he fought back against the abuse, in which Pi Delta Psi pledges were repeatedly tackled while wearing blindfolds and weighted backpacks.

The 10 new defendants, all from New York City and Long Island, were charged with hindering apprehension, hazing and criminal conspiracy, Pocono Mountain Regional Police Chief Chris Wagner said.

Five others, including Meng’s brother, Andy Meng — who was national president of the Pi Delta Psi fraternity at the time of Deng’s death — were slapped with the same charges last week.

Meng is accused of orchestrating a coverup by instructing his frat brothers to hide any Pi Delta Psi paraphernalia after Deng was knocked unconscious.

In a “deleted but recovered” text message, Meng allegedly wrote, “I pray to go[d] he’s going to be alive,” and, “They cannot know.”
