Homeless man fatally stabs enemy over money: cops

A homeless man who was sprung from prison about a week ago was arrested for fatally stabbing a foe over money in the South Bronx, cops said.

The suspect, identified by police as Jerry Hargrove, 41, allegedly stabbed a 33-year-old man multiple times in the torso on the 4th floor stairwell inside the Jackson Houses on East 156th Street on Tuesday at 4 p.m., sources said.

The victim, who remains unidentified, was rushed to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Hargrove now faces charges of murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said.

Police sources say the two knew each other and the fight stemmed over money.

Hargrove has nine prior arrests, and a police source said he was serving time for robbery, but that arrest was also a sealed record.
