A young woman was fighting for her life after jumping out of a 16th-floor window at a luxury Upper East Side building Monday morning, cops said.

The 23-year-old woman flung herself from the 16th floor of 800 Fifth Ave. at about 10:20 a.m. as cops tried to talk her out of it, law enforcement sources said.

A FedEx worker who witnessed the fall from across the street said the woman fell into the building’s garden on 61st Street between Fifth and Madison avenues.

“I heard the fall,” Gail Garcia, 48, told The Post. “I just turned and I started praying.”

The suicidal woman was rushed to New York Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center in critical condition, according to police.
