The Bronx

Investigators released this surveillance image of a man suspected of assaulting a straphanger aboard a train passing through Mott Haven last month. The thug slugged a 42-year-old man in the face aboard a northbound 4 train pulling into the 149th Street-Grand Concourse stop on Aug. 3 at about 11:10 a.m., cops said. He fled into the station when the doors opened. The victim declined medical attention at the scene. The suspect, believed to be about 40 years old, stands 5-foot-10, weighs 165 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the head in a Melrose grocery store, authorities said. The stabber and his victim had gotten into an argument earlier at the market on Morris Avenue near Concourse Village East on Aug. 27, police said. The suspect eventually backed down and left the store, only to return a short time later, cops said. He whipped out a knife and gouged the victim in the back of the head before fleeing, authorities said. The victim was treated at Jacobi Hospital.

The Brooklyn

Eight teens teamed up to loot a clothing store in Boerum Hill, authorities said. The five boys and three girls (some seen here) began filing into Upper 90 on Atlantic Avenue near Hoyt Street on Aug. 10 at about 11:45 a.m. and fanned out across the store in pairs, surveillance video shows. They grabbed several shirts and other articles of clothing off the shelves, stuffing some of them into plastic bags, police said. When the salespeople grew suspicious and started to close in, the thieves dashed out the door, cops said. The total value of their haul was not immediately known. No injuries were reported in the robbery.

Three muggers robbed a woman on a Greenpoint street corner, cops said. The 22-year-old victim was walking near the intersection of Morgan and Driggs avenues on Aug. 30 at about 11:30 p.m. when she was jumped by two women and a man, police said. One of the female thieves grabbed onto the victim’s purse and tried to yank it away, sending the victim tumbling to the ground, authorities said. The man and second woman surrounded the victim and tried to punch her, cops said. After a struggle, the muggers managed to wrest away the woman’s iPhone, and ran off, police said. The victim escaped with minor scrapes to her knees.

This woman is wanted for swiping a diner’s purse at a Williamsburg seafood joint, police said. The 34-year-old victim was eating at Rosarito Fish Shack on the corner of Wythe Avenue and North Seventh Street around 6 p.m. Aug. 28, when she took an eye off her bag, cops said. The thief walked off with the bag, which contained the victim’s wallet, sunglasses, iPhone and $10 in cash, police said.

A self-professed gangbanger was critically wounded in a shooting on a Brownsville street corner, police sources said. Two gunmen opened fire on 22-year-old George Williams as he was walking along Junius Street near Newport Street around 3 p.m. Aug. 31, striking him multiple times in the face, torso and right leg, sources said. First responders rushed Williams to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition, where he is still recovering. Sources said Williams is an admitted member of the Fort Greene Fam that roams the Ingersoll Houses. The gunmen, one of whom sports a ponytail, are still at large.

Manhattan

A box cutter-wielding thug slashed a man’s face during a robbery in a Lower East Side bodega, police said. The slasher and an accomplice confronted the 28-year-old victim inside Stop 1 Deli at the corner of Madison and Rutgers streets on Aug. 29 at about 2:10 a.m. , cops said. One of the thugs pulled out the blade and cut up the man’s face and neck, then the pair (above) fled with his book bag, authorities said.The victim was treated at Bellevue Hospital and released.
