Rain won’t ruin Fourth of July fireworks plans

Bring on the fireworks!

Spotty showers and muggy conditions on Saturday are not expected to ruin plans for a pyrotechnics-filled night in the Big Apple this Fourth of July.

Rain and unseasonably cool temperatures may be an issue for daytime activities, but any precipitation should diminish in time for evening festivities, according to AccuWeather.

In New York, authorities have urged residents to remain alert amid new terror threats. Security is expected to be even tighter this year than in the past.

Federal agencies issued a bulletin last week warning of terrorist threats, including calls by ISIS leaders for attacks in the United States.

Music fans, meanwhile, will have an extra reason to celebrate, with an all-star lineup of acts, including the Grateful Dead, the Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson and others, performing across the nation.
