‘Serial bride’ all smiles after she’s released from jail

She may not have been blushing, but a Bronx woman accused of marrying 10 men in 11 years in a green-card scam was smiling from ear to ear after being released from jail by a Bronx Supreme Court judge Monday.

Liana Barrientos was sent to the lockup last month after she missed her first scheduled court appearance May 18.

Her lawyer, Christopher Wright, argued she deserved to be released.

“Although she did miss that last court date, she did show up very promptly the next day at 9 a.m. immediately after her missed court date. And she did express a great deal of remorse and frustration with herself for missing that date and she apologized to me,” Wright said.

“She will make her court dates.”

Bronx Supreme Court Justice Steven Barrett said he initially let her out without bail but had a change of heart after she was a no-show for the first court date he set.

“From my perspective, you had an inadequate appreciation for the seriousness of these proceedings and the obligations of this court,” the judge scolded. “You very quickly made me second-guess my own judgment by your very irresponsible actions.”

Still, Barrett gave Barrientos a second shot at freedom — but not before giving her a stern warning.

“Do not get re-arrested. Be very careful about the way you conduct yourself. No new arrests — none!”

“Be here on the scheduled dates and be here on time.”

“So, 9:30 in my courtroom. Do we understand each other?” the judge asked.

“Yes,” she replied.

A beaming Barrientos, her hair in two braided pigtails, flashed a smile and blew her three children a kiss before leaving the courtroom.
