Carmelo Anthony is NBA’s ‘most overrated:’ Bucks’ Dudley

The hits keep on coming for Carmelo Anthony.

Just one day after Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith reached the NBA Finals for the first time in their career following a January trade from the Knicks, the Bucks’ Jared Dudley called him the “most overrated player in the NBA.”

“I would say Carmelo,” said Dudley, when asked the question by ESPN host Colin Cowherd. “The reason why I say Carmelo is that he’s viewed as a Top 5 player…”

“Oh, come on!” Cowherd interjected. “By who, his boys? Who says that?”

(The Anthony part starts at the 3:59 mark)

“He has the talent to be able to [facilitate],” Dudley continued. “The triangle should fit him. He’s gotta make guys better, and defensively, you know what, he’s gotta [go to the next level]. He’s gotta get out of the first and second round. He’s gotta get this team to the playoffs. LeBron [James] with that roster would have gotten to the playoffs. They would have been at least an 8 seed. He’s not LeBron, but he doesn’t have to be…”

Dudley called former Knick Zach Randolph the most underrated player in the NBA.

“Zach’s an animal. [He averages] 20 [points] and 10 [rebounds] [in his] career,” Dudley said.
