Cops want to question four men in connection with a Claremont shooting that left a man in serious condition. The 24-year-old victim and three of the suspects had been hanging out in a six-story apartment building on Grand Concourse near East 171st Street on May 16 at about 1 p.m. when shots rang out, police said. The victim was struck in the face and rushed to Bronx Lebanon Hospital. He is still recuperating. Detectives recovered surveillance footage showing the victim’s three companions and the fourth man around the time of the shooting. The motive for the attack was not immediately known.

A man was shot in the groin on a Bedford Park street Friday.The 22-year-old victim was wounded near the intersection of East 194th Street and Decatur Avenue just before 1:50 p.m., according to cops. He was in stable condition at St. Barnabas Hospital. Authorities could not immediately provide a physical description of the assailant, or a motive behind the assault.

Brooklyn

A crook swiped two engagement rings from a Mill Basin store, cops said. The thief walked into the Kay Jewelers in the Kings Plaza mall on April 15 at about 10:30 a.m., cops said. Posing as a customer, he asked the clerk to take a look at an engagement ring, police said. While the phony customer was looking it over, the worker took a second ring out of the display case. The bandit snatched both rings and dashed out the door, authorities said. The suspect stands about 5-foot-1, weighs approximately 160 pounds, and was last seen wearing a dark sweat shirt with Nike across the front in large white letters.

A thug shot a man in the leg during an attempted stickup in Williamsburg, police said. Two men approached the 24-year-old victim as he was hanging out on Lorimer Street near Stagg Street on May 3 at about 8:45 p.m. and struck up a conversation. It quickly escalated into an argument, however, and one of the goons whipped out a gun and fired while his accomplice tried to steal the victim’s valuables, cops said. The pair ultimately ran off empty-handed. The victim was treated at Woodhull Hospital. The suspected gunman has long hair and was wearing a checkered shirt and dark jeans.

Manhattan

A crook shot a man twice during a botched robbery attempt Thursday morning in East Harlem, authorities said. The suspect grabbed the 29-year-old victim from behind on East 121st Street near Second Avenue around 11:40 a.m., and tried to yank a chain from around his neck, cops said. When the victim put up a fight, the goon pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting him in the shoulder and right leg. The tough then fled empty-handed. The victim was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he was in stable condition. The suspect stands about 5-foot-9 and weighs approximately 180 pounds, said law-enforcement sources.

Queens

A Virginia man is in custody for his alleged role in a fatal shooting on a Jamaica street corner in 2013, cops said. After more than two years on the lam, suspected gunman Melquan Collier, 23, was nabbed by authorities in his home state, police sources said. Collier allegedly pumped a round into the torso of 21-year-old Roshane Morrison at the intersection of 110th Avenue and 179th Place on March 31, 2013, at about 2:25 a.m., cops said. Collier has been extradited to New York and charged with murder, bail jumping, and weapons possession. Investigators did not immediately disclose a motive.
