‘Star-struck’ de Blasio gushes over Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama said she “fell in love” with the new Whitney Museum at a ribbon-cutting Thursday — but Mayor Bill de Blasio was more smitten with her.

“You know something important is happening when first lady Michelle Obama is there,” the admittedly “star-struck” mayor said at the dedication of the museum’s $422 million space in the Meatpacking District.

“And so, first lady — first of all, you’ve made all of our day by being a part of this,” he said.
