It took 2 picks for Roger Goodell to become laughingstock

The myriad rumors surrounding Marcus Mariota never came with a pronunciation guide.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, in announcing Tennessee would hold onto the No. 2 overall pick to draft the Oregon quarterback, couldn’t quite nail down the Hawaiian’s name.

Instead of Marcus Mariota, the Titans selected “Marcus Mariodo,” that last syllable proving too much for Goodell to handle.

Instantly, the much-maligned face (and, incredibly, mouth) of the NFL was mocked throughout social media.
