‘Better Homes and Gardens’ publisher lays off dozens

Meredith, the publisher of Family Circle and Better Homes and Gardens, has laid off about 100 employees across its magazine, digital and broadcast properties, the company announced Tuesday.
Meredith said the job cuts represent about 2.5 percent of its 4,000 employees. The company is slated to release its quarterly earnings on Thursday.
“As you go through a growth cycle you have to align your resources and deploy your workforce accordingly,” a Meredith spokesman said.
