Guide to Sunday’s best games of the NCAA Tournament

The Post picks out the best games from the eight third-round contests that make up an all-day hoops buffet on Day 4 of the NCAA Tournament:

(2) Virginia vs. (7) Michigan State
12:10 p.m., CBS

The defensive-minded Cavaliers had started to show some cracks in the foundation with Justin Anderson injured, but Anderson has returned at the right time. He came off the bench to play 26 minutes in the second-round win against Belmont, scoring 15 points with five rebounds. He will need to continue scoring against Michigan State, as the Spartans are once again playing their best basketball in March.

(3) Oklahoma vs. (11) Dayton
6:10 p.m., TNT

Placing Dayton in the First Four in the Flyers’ home arena then its first-weekend games in Columbus, Ohio, raised some eyebrows — and for good reason. Dayton topped No. 6 Providence on Friday and now gets a crack against No. 3 Oklahoma with a sizeable crowd advantage.

(2) Gonzaga vs. (7) Iowa
7:10 p.m., TBS

The Zags’ pre-Sweet 16 flameouts are well documented by this point — they’ve fallen short of the second weekend five times since 2009. Their task won’t be easy this year, with Iowa’s Aaron White playing like one of the best big men the country, coming off a 26-point effort Friday against Davidson.

(1) Wisconsin vs. (8) Oregon
7:45 p.m., truTV

It will be strength vs. strength in this matchup, as Wisconsin’s stifling defense (ninth in points allowed) runs up against Oregon’s explosive offense (26th in points). Ducks guard Joseph Young lit up Oklahoma State on Friday for 27 points, while Wisconsin’s Frank Kaminsky continued to state his case for national player of the year with 27 points and 12 rebounds against Coastal Carolina.

(4) Maryland vs. (5) West Virginia
8:40 p.m., TNT

A game featuring West Virginia’s aggressive pressing defense may not be the most pleasing on the eyes — as anyone who watched them beat Buffalo will attest — but Maryland has a pair of explosive guards in Melo Trimble and Dez Wells who could give the Mountaineers fits.
