‘My wife is a cheater’ painted on house that caught fire

A Colorado house — that had the phrase “My wife is a cheater” spray-painted on it — burst into flames early Tuesday and cops have one man under arrest for the suspected arson.

The fire broke out in the Arvada home around 1:30 a.m. and there were no reported injuries, fire officials said.

“Upon their arrival, they were faced with a lot of fire that was coming from the front of the house as well as the back of the house,” Deputy Fire Marshal Deanna Harrington said. “There was debris in the street — some patio furniture.”

The damage to the home was “very significant,” Harrington said.

“It’s significant enough that crews aren’t able to enter the structure because the floor isn’t stable,” she said.

The identity of the man arrested has not been released and the cause of the fire was not immediately known, officials said.

Police spokeswoman Jill McGranahan said officials planned to release more details Tuesday afternoon.

The phrase “My wife is a cheater” was seen spray-painted in black on an outer wall in at least two places, the paper reported.
