Minibus breaks through highway barrier in NYC, injuring 2

An Access-A-Ride minibus lost control on a Manhattan highway near the George Washington Bridge ramp, broke through a barrier and slid down an embankment — seriously injuring two people, authorities said.

The single-vehicle accident happened at about 8:50 a.m. when the vehicle, traveling northbound on the Henry Hudson Parkway, careened off the roadway just after the bridge, cops said.

There were at least two people on board the Access-A-Ride vehicle.

Two people were rushed with serious but non-life threatening injuries to an area hospital, authorities said.

It wasn’t immediately clear how many feet the minibus slid from the roadway down the embankment, cops said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, cops said.
