Nut in ‘Surrounded by Nuts’ shirt busted for brandishing gun

Christopher Wood

This guy is a real nut.

A man wearing an M&M’s T-shirt that says “Surrounded by Nuts” was busted at the Port Authority on Monday night for pointing a loaded gun at another guy during an argument, sources said.

Christopher Wood, 21, of Cleveland, took a gun out of his luggage around 9 p.m. and pressed it up against the chest of another man during an argument, witnesses told cops.

Port Authority Police Officers Philip Tysowski and Lenny Guzman were summoned to the scene and spotted a man matching the witness’ description — Wood — and began to question him.

Wood acted nervously, but agreed to accompany cops to an area where he could be questioned further.

He initially denied having any gun, but after granting officers the right to search his bag, cops spotted a stolen 9mm pistol with a defaced serial number.

The weapon, sources said, had an illegal hollow-point bullet in the chamber and three more in the magazine.

Wood declared, “I’m not a violent person. It’s for protection!”

Cops found Wood’s T-shirt humorous.

“The public doesn’t really appreciate what we see on a daily basis. This gets filed under the category of, ‘You can’t make this up!'” said a police official.

Wood was booked for illegal weapon possession and was awaiting arraignment early today.
