Hillary addresses State Department emails

Hillary Clinton on Tuesday is expected to face reporters for the first time since the emergence of an email scandal that threatens her presidential hopes.

The former first lady, U.S. senator and secretary of state will speak at the UN to address the plight of women across the globe, before holding a press conference, MSNBC reported.

Clinton used a private email account to do official State Department business. The practice was in violation of State Department rules and left her high-level communications at risk of attack by hackers, critics say.

Clinton is an early favorite for the 2016 Democratic presidential nod.
